These are great cards giving the virtual visitor to Paris lots of interesting things to learn about that city. If you are planning a trip to Paris with your children, these cards give you lots of great suggestions for good kid-trips, which you, as adults, will also enjoy. Learn about the sewers and how to visit them, or take a walking trip around parts of Paris, or there are amusement opportunities, as well as good museums for the whole family. The ideas on these cards provide good information to enjoy the touring and learn many things along the way. Better than a typical tour book.

Good for Starting the Dialogue with Kids, but Not Always Accurate

We had high hopes for these cards. The idea is great, as is their construction. As we got closer to our trip, we would pull out the cards and show our kids (3 and 7) where we might go and where else they might want to go. It did not capture their imagination as we had hoped, as the text was advanced and the maps a confusing graphic, but it started the conversation.
When we got to Paris, we again pulled out the cards and showed our kids where we were going. One of us read the back, and highlighted the things we thought they would most be interested in.
Almost immediately we stopped bringing the cards on the actual trips. They were much more detailed than our guide book, but when we got there a lot of the details were wrong or out-of-date. In short, the reality was often different than the cards. Also, what we understood from the card only made sense after we got there.
On many levels these did not work. Still, as another device to include the kids it was nice to have. A good concept that could be great.

I love these guys

These cards created our entire 8 day visit to Paris. I was alone in Paris with my 3 kids (youngest still in diapers), and we would pick a card every evening for the next day's journey. Sometimes we would start out on a journey only to be distracted and begin a whole new adventure. The cards gave us a destination and then the Universe took over from there. I love these guys! Great idea and well executed to help parents!
